About the event

Come join us for our regen panel 'Growing a regenerative Future' at the Gippsland New Energy conference on 9th September from 3:30pm to 4:15pm at Gippsland Performing Arts Centre. We've got an amazing line up of speakers including Alison Whitten from Regen Melbourne, Damon Gameau from Regen Studios, Ruby Rodgers from the Future Council and our own Alex Lieb from Regen Gippsland. This session is facilitated by Dr. Sarah Hogben.

This session will explore how we can practice cross-sector collaboration, creating long lasting solutions taking into account all existing work.

Damon and Ruby will show us the impact that their youth-led campaign made across Europe, highlighting the positive outcomes of giving young people a voice in decision making. Regen Gippsland acknowledges the First Peoples – inclusive of formally recognised Traditional Owner groups, Gunaikurnai and Bunurong, and the Traditional Owner groups of the Far East Gippsland region – as the traditional custodians of the lands we now call Gippsland. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, traditions, culture, and hopes of their communities. We acknowledge the importance of fostering conversations centered on the future, drawing from the wisdom of First Nations peoples, with an appreciation for the enduring effects of colonialism and dispossession.
